Captains of Industry Anniversary Luncheon

The Captains of Industry Luncheon was held on 9 December 2009 at the Churchill Museum and Cabinet War Rooms (situated underneath the Treasury). The function room, Plant Room 7, was right in the heart of the Cabinet War Rooms and gave an electrifying ambience to the proceedings, albeit the rather large steel beams, used to reinforce the ‘bunker’ from war-time bombs, were a little low for some of us!

The event, an occasion to mark FBE's anniversary, and by the Chairman’s invitation, is design to spread the FBE message – "the right conversations with the right people" through providing great networking along with technical, social and sporting events – to the higher fraternity of the construction and property sectors, the Captains of Industry.

David Higgins, CEO of the ODA (Olympic Development Authority) opened the after-lunch discourse by speaking on the progress to date of the 2012 Olympic project and the legacy it will leave behind.
