Leeds Branch breakfast meeting

Professor Brian Cantor FREng, Vice-Chancellor of the University of York, was the guest speaker at the first Leeds Branch breakfast meeting of the year, held on Thursday 28 January 2010. Professor Cantor spoke to a packed and enthusiastic audience about the extensive developments under way around the University’s Heslington East Campus and also provided an insight into the challenges faced upon their existing estate. The audience also enjoyed an extensive question and answer session, which extended beyond the University of York estate, as Professor Cantor was able to field questions in regard to the wider issues facing the Higher Education Sector. As usual the event was held at 3 Albion Place in Leeds, which is the home of FBE in Yorkshire. The 50-strong audience heard Professor Cantor describe the history behind the development of the University of York and give an insight into the potential future phases of development planned for the Heslington Campus.
