Martin Farrington, Acting Chief Recreation Officer, Leeds City Council, was the guest speaker at the breakfast meeting held on Thursday 23 April 2009. He spoke to a packed and enthusiastic audience about the Leeds Arena, details of which can be found by clicking on the link below (it can also be found by clicking on the Knowledge Base tab).
As usual the event was held at 3 Albion Place in Leeds, which is the home of the FBE in Yorkshire. The 60 strong audience heard Martin explain the history behind the development of the arena, including the impact of a number of historical sites had had on the initial design requirements and location of the arena. Keith Griffiths, the regional director for the FBE in Yorkshire, said "the development of the arena by Leeds City Council was an exciting opportunity for the City of Leeds…" Look out for FBE’s new publication, The Buzz, being launched on 13 May 2009 at the Derby Property Show, click here for details.
